How to Know When Your Tyres Need Replacing

• Tread depth below 3 mm — legal minimum in NSW is 1.5 mm but traction degrades noticeably before that
• Uneven wear across the tread — often a sign of alignment or pressure issues, worth addressing at the same visit
• Cracking or perishing on the sidewall — particularly on vehicles over 5 years old, even if tread looks fine
• A bubble or bulge on the sidewall — replace immediately, this indicates internal structural damage
• Vibration at highway speed that balancing does not fix — the tyre may have shifted internally
