Q01How often should I get my car's air-con regassed?
Most manufacturers recommend every 2 years. In Sydney's heat, vehicles that are heavily used often benefit from more frequent attention.
Q02Why is my air-con blowing warm air?
Most commonly low refrigerant (a regas fixes this), a refrigerant leak, or a failed component such as the compressor or condenser. We check for leaks before regassing — there is no point refilling a leaking system.
Q03What is the difference between R134a and R1234yf refrigerant?
R134a is used in most vehicles before 2017. R1234yf is a newer, lower-emissions refrigerant mandated in newer vehicles. Many workshops cannot handle R1234yf due to equipment cost — we carry both.
Q04Can you fix a refrigerant leak as well as regas?
Yes. If we find a leak during the pressure check, we diagnose the source and quote for repair before proceeding. In most cases the leak can be fixed the same day.
